Analyst warns China’s Vanke on brink of default as bailout hopes fade
Andrew Collier, senior fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, says that bondholders of China Vanke have decided to "take the hit now" rather than allow the company to "extend and pretend", and that Chinese local governments are not in a position to bail out struggling property firms.
